These Terms & Services govern your use of the ShotByD website and services. By booking or engaging ShotByD, you agree to these terms.

1. Services

ShotByD provides phone videography services for weddings, lifestyle sessions, events, parties, and related creative projects. Deliverables, timelines, and scope are defined per booking.

2. Booking & Confirmation

A booking is confirmed only after:

  • Acceptance of the quote, and
  • Payment of the required deposit.
    Dates are not reserved without payment.

3. Payments

  • A non-refundable deposit of 30–50% is required to secure a date.
  • Full balance is due on or before the event date unless stated otherwise.
  • Prices are in [NGN/USD] unless specified.
  • Late payments may delay delivery.

4. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Deposits are non-refundable.
  • Cancellations within 7 days of the event require full payment.
  • One reschedule may be allowed, subject to availability.
  • ShotByD may cancel due to emergencies; in such cases, all payments will be refunded or a replacement offered.

5. Travel & Expenses

Travel outside the base location may attract additional costs for transport, accommodation, and logistics. These will be included in the quote.

6. Deliverables & Turnaround

  • Highlight edits and packages are defined per service plan.
  • Standard delivery: 2–6 weeks after the shoot.
  • Delays caused by client feedback or force majeure are excluded.

7. Creative Control

ShotByD retains full creative discretion over editing style, music choice, and final presentation, while considering client preferences discussed before the shoot.

8. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Provide accurate event details.
  • Secure necessary permissions at venues.
  • Ensure safe working conditions.
    ShotByD is not liable for missed moments caused by restrictions or delays outside its control.

9. Copyright & Usage

ShotByD retains copyright to all content created.
Clients receive a personal, non-commercial license to use delivered content for personal use and social media, with credit where possible.
Commercial use requires written permission.

ShotByD may use content for portfolio, website, and promotional purposes unless the client requests otherwise in writing.

10. Raw Footage

Raw files are not included unless stated in the package or purchased separately.

11. Data & Privacy

Client information is handled in line with the ShotByD Privacy Policy and used only for service delivery and communication.

12. Limitation of Liability

ShotByD’s liability is limited to the amount paid by the client.
ShotByD is not responsible for loss due to equipment failure, data corruption, accidents, or circumstances beyond reasonable control, but will take all reasonable steps to mitigate.

13. Force Majeure

ShotByD is not liable for failure to perform due to events beyond control, including but not limited to acts of God, illness, accidents, or government restrictions.

14. Amendments

ShotByD may update these terms at any time. Continued use of services implies acceptance of revised terms.

15. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
